Born’s Corn in Durand closing after 46 years

DURAND, Mich. — (Mid Michigan Gazette) Born’s Corn is closing after 46 years of serving Durand and the surrounding communities.

The announcement came on social media on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

“After 46 years, Born is officially retiring,” the post said. “Thank you to all the people have helped plant and harvest all the veggies over the years. Born’s corn couldn’t have done it without you all.”

The group held the stand on Newburg Rd. which turns into Main St. nearby the Bertha Neal School in Durand.

They shared that their last customer was Mike Termeer.
