LAINGSBURG, Mich. (Mid Michigan Gazette) — The shelter-in-place order issued for the City of Laingsburg has been lifted, according to Shiawassee County Central Dispatch.
Around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, residents of Laingsburg were told to shelter-in-place due to a “police situation” in the area of Church Street and Grand River Avenue.
People in the area were told to lock their doors and to stay away from windows.
Mid Michigan Gazette was in the area and saw multiple vehicles from the Shiawassee County Sheriff’s Office, as well as other police units.
Shiawassee County Central Dispatch said that the incident has been resolved in an updated social media post.
