38-year-old Laingsburg man facing multiple felony charges following deadly Woodhull Twp. crash

SHIAWASSEE COUNTY, Mich. (Mid Michigan Gazette) — A 38-year-old man from Laingsburg is facing multiple charges following a deadly crash in Woodhull Township on Feb. 14.

Travis Grove was arraigned on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in Shiawassee County District Court on four felony charges. Grove is facing two counts each of driving while intoxicated causing death, and driving while license suspended/revoked/denied causing death.

According to the Shiawassee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the intersection of Britton Rd. and Shaftsburg Rd, around 5:53 p.m. on Saturday.

Grove is accused of failing to stop at the stop sign at the intersection when he collided with another SUV that was traveling westbound.

The westbound SUV was driven by an 82-year-old man and a 79-year-old woman passenger, both from Laingsburg.

The elderly man and woman, along with the dog occupant, were all pronounced deceased inside the SUV at the scene.

Grove’s bond is set at $150,000.
