UPDATE: As of 7:00 AM, the suspect has been taken into custody, according to MSP.
No injuries were reported.
UPDATE: The shelter in place has been lifted as of 12:40 AM. The suspect was not located in the home or neighborhood.
Troopers are looking for Steven Loy Lockwood, a 36-year-old white man, 5’ 11”, 205 lbs. bald head, blue eyes. He is considered armed and dangerous.
SHIAWASSEE COUNTY, Mich. (Mid Michigan Gazette) — Some people living in Owosso area are being told to shelter in place on the 2400 block of Krouse Road.
The request is coming from the Michigan State Police, according to a social media post from Shiawassee County Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
MSP officials also posted to social media and said on Tuesday evening, law enforcement responded to a home after a 911 caller reported a domestic assault involving a weapon.
All occupants were able to safely leave the home besides the suspect, according to police. They added that the subject has refused to comply with lawful orders and remains barricaded.
The MSP Emergency Support Team is now at the scene and working to safely take the suspect into custody.
Officials are asking everyone to avoid the area if possible. They add that the residents of Woods and Fields Mobile Home Community are being asked to shelter in place.
