MSP increasing traffic patrol Friday, looking for unsafe driving behaviors

LANSING, Mich. (Mid Michigan Gazette) — The Michigan State Police (MSP) will be conducting an “enhanced traffic patrol” on Friday, Jan. 16.

According to a social media post, MSP troopers throughout the First District are promoting safe driving behaviors and will be on the lookout for unsafe driving behaviors.

MSP officials said they’re watching for drivers who are speeding, using their cellphones behind the wheel, and engaging in distracted driving.

The MSP First District includes Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Hillsdale, Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston, Monroe, and Washtenaw counties.
