Update: Laniya Riley has been located and is safe as of September 23, 2025, according to police.
LANSING, Mich. (Mid Michigan Gazette) — The Lansing Police Department (LPD) is looking for a runaway teenager.
LPD posted to their “Missing in Lansing” social media page on Thursday that officers are looking for 15-year-old Laniya Riley.
In the post, she is described to be 5’02” and 132 lbs. Lansing police added that the teenager was last seen in the 1700 block of Rex St. on September 16, 2025, at approximately 10 p.m. wearing a white tank top with tan shorts.
The post also stated that she has bright red hair with a blonde stripe in the middle.
