Grand River Avenue reopens to traffic following car crash in Meridian Township

MERIDIAN TWP. (Mid Michigan Gazette) — Grand River Avenue in Meridian Township has reopened to traffic following a closure due to a car crash on Thursday evening, according to a social media post from Ingham County Central Dispatch.

Mid Michigan Gazette arrived at the scene of Grand River Avenue and Northwind Drive around 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 15, 2026, and saw three police officer vehicles from Meridian Township redirecting traffic while law enforcement and tow trucks were working to clear up the crash.

There were at least two vehicles that could be seen with damage in the roadway.

Both directions were reopened at 7:47 p.m., according to the post.

It is unclear at this time how many people or vehicles were involved and if there were any injuries.
